Easily Understanding Revelation
"A Unique Workbook"
Dedication
None of this would have been possible however without my best friend, Marie, to whom this unique workbook is also dedicated. |
My second book...a workbook. To complete the lessons in this workbook will take a rather “committed” student! There are 22 chapters in Revelation. The workbook has worksheets for each chapter. To complete the lessons will take some time…which most people won’t give…but if you do, you may be pleasantly surprised at what you will learn…because you will be learning precisely what God has revealed…without any speculation on our part…which is most common regarding Revelation.
Enjoy! |
The opportunity to share this "unique workbook" is
definitely another highlight of my life. |
Why this workbook?
I contend most people have never done personal study of the book of Revelation. Much of what is "taught" regarding Revelation is based on speculation and opinion largely because of the apocalyptic language in Revelation. This workbook is based on the premise that God has revealed something to us that all can understand and includes simple straight-forward questions everyone can answer just by reading the text of the Bible.
This is a unique workbook which focuses on “the forest and doesn’t get lost in the trees.” If you are interested in a very practical understanding of Revelation, primarily with an emphasis on what it meant to Christians undergoing persecution in the first century, this workbook will definitely help. With the attitude of David in Psalm 119…with honesty and humility, you may be “encouraged” to consider some surprising conclusions regarding the message of Revelation…if those are based only on what is revealed to us in the text of the Bible! If, however, you prefer to “speculate” about what God has NOT revealed in His word, i.e., some possible meaning through history or some meaning specifically in the twentieth or twenty-first century, as is the prevailing "interpretation," this workbook is not for you. Otherwise…enjoy the trip through the “forest”!
I have been a Bible class teacher for about 50 years. During the last twenty years, I taught from the book of Revelation on two different occasions, taking about a year each time to cover the 22 chapters. This workbook contains much of what was presented in those classes.
